While not taking time to file notes from the trenches about things legal and otherwise, I serve as VP Legal and Employment Counsel for Trimble Inc., an integrated geospatial technology solutions provider focused on transforming how work is done across multiple professions throughout the world’s largest industries. Among other responsibilities I support Trimble’s Transportation & Logistics business sectors in North America, leading providers of software and SaaS fleet mobility, communications, and data management solutions for transportation and logistics companies.
It is important as in-house counsel to be a proactive problem-solver and trusted business partner, crafting strategic, creative and practical legal solutions designed to achieve business objectives with available resources while rationally managing risk through strong partnerships with business owners and leadership. My experience includes contract negotiation and drafting, privacy, software/e-commerce/cloud services, compliance, marketing, insurance, vendor and procurement, technology licensing, export, litigation management/dispute resolution, and risk management, and providing legal advice and legal support to all levels as a corporate generalist. I am a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).

I am also an alum of CommerceHub, Inc., a leading cloud services provider helping retailers and brands increase sales and delight shoppers through supply solutions to expand product assortment, demand solutions to promote and sell products on the channels that perform, and delivery solutions to enable rapid, on-time customer delivery, and Digital River, Inc., a leading commerce-as-a-service and e-marketing provider, and of Larkin Hoffman Daly & Lindgren, a Minneapolis-based law firm. I began my career in New York, working for companies such as Emanuel Publishing Corporation, Prodigy, and IntraLinks. I live with my wife and two sons in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, happily enjoying Midwestern life as a “recovering New Yorker.”
